Condition
The cab itself isn't too shabby, it looks as though it fairly original.
The back still has the service stickers in Japanese and the transformer is 110V.
The monitor has some screen burn from Metal Slug X , there is a slight crack on the front of the controller panel and some general scuffs and scratches.
Inside there is a coin mech but it is a UK one not the original, though the coin bucket looks like it could be smile.gif. The jamma connector is ok, though there seems to be a slight crack at one end, and it is fitted with CPS2/3 kick harness.
Sound is working fine and is nice and clear.
The sticks still have a nice click to them, though I think the buttons have been hammered a bit and my need changing at some point, though they seemed responsive so they may be OK for a while.
It has a nice/nasty smell of old tabs when you open up the door to access the JAMMA loom though and the more eagled eyed of you will have notice that the top does not light up as the fluorescent tube needs a tweak.

Now here I have been very lucky, not only is a CPS2/3 kick harness already fitted (need this to use the kick button on the CPS2/3 boards, Chun-Li would be shit without it smile.gif ) there are also seven button for each player. Now this may seem odd as Street Fighter only needs six, but the extra button is used for the Neo Geo games. I'll explain, most standard Neo Geo MVS games use four button (A to D) the top row in the picture and the the bottom three are the kick button for Street Fighter (and other CPS2 games that need it). Granted one of the kick button could have been wired up for this, but this keeps the wiring nice and simple and also keeps a good the button layout for both MVS and CPS2 boards.
This is a big bonus for me as I hadn't realised any of this before getting the cab, I had even gone as far as getting a price for a kick harness, so all good.
There is also a blanking plate for an eight button if need be.
I don't know if they are Happ, Sanwa, or cheap parts as I haven't opened the control panel up yet but they seem in pretty good shape.
Games
The cab is fairly versatile when it comes to which games I can get but obviously I can only play games tht have a standard JAMMA connector and are compatible with my monitor, but here are the ones I have
Capcom CPS3
Street Fighter III: New Generation
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Capcom CPS2
Super Street Fighter II (EU)
Street Fighter Zero 2 (JP)
Street Fighter Zero 3 (JP)
Super Puzzle Fighter II (JP)
NeoGeo MVS
King of Fighters 96
King of Fighters 99
King of Fighters 2000
Samurai Shodown IV
Blazing Star
Metal Slug
Puzzle Bobble
Super Side Kicks 2
Standard JAMMA
Cabal (Bootleg)
And that is that really, it is a great experience to own one and play on it free of charge but the games can be expensive SFIII: 3rd Strike is worth between £300 to £500 depending on condition and the there are the suicide batteries, but that is for another post
